Lans King is a British-American contemporary artist. His new digital artworks are called “digital capsules”. They are based on and connected to an NFC microchip chip which is in a glass capsule that has been surgically implanted in his hand.
Lans’ work is centred around his theme called “The Hyperreality Show”. Hyperreality is defined as growing inability to distinguish reality from a simulation of reality, especially as it relates to media and technology. This work is realised as painting, sculpture, video and now digital art. He lives and works between London, Paris, and New York.
