This GIF is based on a 3D sculpture of a François Willème.
François Willème was a French artist who developed and patented a process for creating photosculptures. It became the progenitor of 3D scanning and 3D printing.

This is my second work based on 3D sculpture of a François Willème

I only recently found out who this person was, but as an artist who uses 3D, he seems to me to be a significant figure in the development of digital art. I was inspired to create this GIF by one of the pictures in my instagram feed, but I think that the twitter feed influenced also. Casting a shadow about the cyclical and changeable path of development, about the time in the shadow and the time of enlightenment.
